Bicarbonate and hair go well together provided you use it well. For quick and easy use, you can add a teaspoon of baking soda to your usual shampoo, to bring freshness and shine to your hair. If you prefer a 100% natural formula, you can make your own bicarbonate shampoo.
Be careful, however, if used in too high a dose or too regularly, bicarbonate shampoo can dry out hair. Limit the use of baking soda on your hair to once a week.
If you have coloured or highlighted hair, bicarbonate should be avoided as it is a natural bleach. It would eliminate your colouring in a few shampoos or lighten the colour. Also if you have fragile, frizzy or very fine hair, it is better to prefer softer products.
