11 make-up tips for the inexperienced

We learn to do many things out of the blue and makeup is one of them, but when we don’t have the talent or even our mom didn’t give us any advice about it, we should look elsewhere for help.

Here are 11 tricks to achieve a good makeup even if you are not an expert:

1. Prepare your skin

It is very important that your skin is ready for makeup. Before colouring, apply a moisturiser and fixer to your face and lips. Remember that your skin is a sponge; the first thing it needs to absorb is your cream, not your base. Apply the moisturizer with a brush in circular movements, first on the cheek and then on the rest of the face.

2. Use Fixer

Use the fixative 20 centimeters from your face, before and after painting, to encapsulate your makeup.

3. Custom Brushes

Round brushes are for blending, flat brushes are for painting in a specific place. The important thing is that you find out which ones you work with best.

4.Eyes First

Make up your eyes first and then the rest of your face, so that you can correct any spots. It’s easier to solve a mistake in your blurring when you don’t have the base on yet. To remove some of the stain, use wet swabs with fixative.

5.False eyelashes?

If you want to wear false eyelashes, do it with surgical glue; the key is to put them from the center to the sides. And here’s a secret: you’ll know they’re on when they’re not bothering you.

6. Stick your eyelashes together

To join your false and real eyelashes together, glue your index finger to your eyelashes and apply mascara by gluing the brush to your finger.

7.To blur is to hide

The idea of a blur is that you should not see where one color of shadow begins and the other ends. To find out how to apply the lightest shade, close your eye and imagine that you are looking straight ahead. Where your iris would be, there goes the gold or silver.

8.From light to dark

The ideal makeup is to make your face look oval. Use 3 shades of makeup: one lighter for the parts where the light would shine (cheekbones, chin and in the middle of the eyes); another darker for the shaded areas (mark the lines making a fish face); and the base for your skin tone.

If you use your fingers to put on your makeup in any area, choose the one next to your little finger, as it has less strength and thus avoid damaging your skin.

9.Dark circles under the eyes with orange under the eyes

If you have very marked dark circles under your eyes, use orange make-up in that area and then apply the concealer.

10.Moderate translucent powder

Use translucent powder only in your T-zone, if you put it all over your face, wrinkles will be more pronounced.

11.Smile for the blush

Blush is the last thing you should wear. The current trend is to mark the apple that forms on your cheekbones when you smile.
